exe remains, ive tried following a guide on how to give myself ownership of the file to be able to delete it and it pretty much just said no and closed me out and will not let me delete it. ive tried removing the FNIS files and reinstalling, but it wont let me delete the folder that contains HKXCMD.exeĮDIT: so i went full delete happy, uninstalled Vortex competely, uninstalled steam. So now im stuck, i cant use FNIS, and vortex keeps giving me this pop up. Trying to run FNIS, it opens but when i try to update FNIS behavior, i get "Error (5) the system can not find file specified." you may not have the appropriate permissions to access this item" im the admin on my PC if it makes any difference. i went into the FNIS folder and tried to run the hkxcmd.exe myself and I get "windows can not access the specified path,or file. When i click "give permissions" winddows give me the pop up asking to make changes, i click yes, aaaaand now im in a loop of this.

now vortex was telling me it cant run FNIS, so i install it, then vortex tries to run it and i get an error "vortex needs permission to access \skyrim\data\tools\generate_FNIS_for_users\HKXCMD.exe" Had to clear off all my mods and restart because i couldn't solve my CTD issues.
